Banca di Roma
The image before the copy.

The visual concept
as the starting point.
After the agency briefing, I worked from my studio developing sketches and visual concepts, sending them by fax and discussing them with the creative team by phone. For every subject in the campaign, the process began with the image rather than the headline.
The selected sketches became the starting point for the headlines and copy; only then did I develop the final illustrations.
A campaign built from the images.
Art Director: Fabio Ferri · Copywriters: Luca Albanese, Stefano Maria Palombi · Agency: Saatchi & Saatchi Rome · Client: Banca di Roma · Year: 1994
The campaign received a Silver award from the Art Directors Club and was featured in Annual No. 10.
Six ads,
six visual ideas.
The ads are shown in their published form. English versions of the original Italian headlines are adapted to preserve the idea and wordplay.
